b) The amount we sell your vehicle for - if it is more than $500.
Kars4kids is a classified 501(c)(3) charity organization. You can check with your tax advisor or accountant to determine the amount of your benefit. The deduction is of value only if the donor itemizes his or her deductions. For a more detailed overview the IRS publishes a Donors Guide to Car Donation.

Kars4Kids accepts donations of virtually all kinds of vehicles, including but not limited to: car, snow plow, boat, bus, jet ski, truck, airplane, van, trailer, motorcycle, ATV, tractor, commercial, fleet and RV (motor home) donations. Sorry, no kids.
Yes, we can usually pick up a vehicle without a title in Hawaii . We may need the registered owner to sign some paperwork for us.
In almost all scenarios Kars4kids will apply for the new title for you. We'll handle all the paperwork and pay the title fees too.

Here's how the title transfer process works when you donate a car in Hawaii:
Leave the plates on the car, since they are assigned to the vehicle and not the owner. Personalized or specialty license plates belong to the owner of the vehicle so you should do a plate and emblem replacement before donating.
You'll submit a Notice of Transfer form within 10 days of donating to the county motor vehicle registration office where the vehicle was last registered. Not exactly vintage, no, but a 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser did set a record for the oldest car donation ever received from the state of Hawaii. And no, no orchid leis wrapped around the antenna. We were as disappointed as anyone :)
